Ultrasonic Sealing And weldingTechnology in package area
With the continuous advancement of ultrasonic technology, we keep pace with the market with ultrasonic systems and solutions for sealing, perforating, and cutting different packaging types. As an extremely gentle process, ultrasonic technology is ideal for sealing heat-sensitive products. The low-temperature process does not heat the product. Perfectly airtight and liquid-tight welds are achieved, and the package is cut and shaped simultaneously. Fusion materials in the sealing seam area do not affect the seam quality, and packaging material does not leak out.
Low-energy, environmentally friendly process: Compared to other heat-treatment packaging processes, ultrasonic sealing technology consumes very little energy. It does not require a continuous heat supply; energy consumption occurs only during the sealing process. The oscillation of the ultrasonic mold is also a self-cleaning process, preventing contamination from packaging materials or product residues. Choosing an ultrasonic sealing mold with an IP68 rating reduces maintenance and cleaning workload on the packaging production line.
Transparent plastic covers, trays, bowls, and cups: Sealing, punching, and cutting all in one process.
The patented modular ultrasonic welding station allows transparent plastic covers, trays, bowls, and cups to be sealed and punched in a single process. This eliminates the need for a subsequent punching unit and reduces packaging time.
Stand-up pouches are sealed using ultrasound.
Our ultrasonic systems are also used to seal preformed stand-up pouches and flat bags, suitable for zipper and spout closures. They can seal bags of various specific sizes and perform ultrasonic punching or cutting. Zipper or weld seals can also be achieved, preserving the flavor of the product inside.
The key advantage of ultrasonics over other technologies is that they provide a leak-proof, absolute seal even when the seal area is wetted by the filling. Mechanical pre-compression is performed using a cold sealing tool, and then ultrasound is used to disperse the filling within the seal area, preserving the product's flavor.
Spout insertion. A tight seal is also available for Tetra Pak packages with internal coatings.
Ultrasonic sealing systems are also suitable for welding the seals of Tetra Pak packages with internal coatings.
A safe and reliable sealing method.
The coatings found in beverage cartons and Tetra Pak packages are typically made of PE. Ultrasonic waves securely bond the lid, also made of PE, to the carton's seal.
The packaging carton also conveys information.
Another use for packaging cardboard is to seal it to a transparent plastic cover, creating a complete package. The film coating on the cardboard must match the material of the transparent plastic cover. The transparent plastic cover (usually made of deep-drawn PET) ensures the best possible appearance for the product.
Equipped with high-quality materials.
To meet the special requirements of food packaging manufacturing, our ultrasonic systems meet IP68 sealing standards. The welding heads are made of titanium alloy, a standard material used in the packaging industry.
Working Principle
The ultrasonic generator converts electrical energy into high-frequency mechanical vibrations.
The vibrations are transmitted to the material through the transducer and welding head.
The vibration and pressure generate frictional heat in the material, melting it and bonding it together (sealing) or shearing it off (cutting).
