For example, we can punch and weld parking radar brackets, and openings for headlight cleaning systems can be punched directly into pre-painted bumpers with embossed radius patterns. Due to the unique design of the ultrasonic punch, the punch vibrates and presses downward during the stamping process, heating the plastic part while simultaneously creating a slightly curved cut. This leaves the painted surface intact while maintaining a smooth, elegant appearance.
After the cut is completed, the bracket is welded or bonded beneath the aesthetically pleasing cut using a puncture weld.
