Ultrasonic Perfume Aging

Perfume is a liquid mixture of essential oils, fixatives, and alcohol, used to impart a long-lasting, pleasant scent to objects (usually the human body). Essential oils are extracted from plants and flowers by distillation or liposuction, but scented organic substances can also be used. Fixatives are used to bind together various fragrances, including balsam, ambergris, and secretions from the scent glands of civets and musk deer.

The production of any perfume requires multiple steps to ensure its quality and long-lasting, stable, and captivating fragrance. One of these steps is aging the perfume mixture. Perfume is a physical mixture of various fragrances with alcohol, adjuvants, fragrance enhancers, and deionized water. It is not a chemical or compound; it is simply a physical mixture. Therefore, a period of esterification is required to allow the chemical reactions within the mixture to achieve the desired effect. Perfume contains 70-80% alcohol, making it crucial to its quality. Alcohol has a light specific gravity of only 0.78 and a low boiling point of only 78°C, yet its vapor pressure is as high as 95,000 (units of pressure). Therefore, it easily evaporates and tends to float on top of perfume. Therefore, traditional heating to accelerate the reaction is not suitable for perfume applications.

To address the above technical problems, the present invention provides an ultrasonic perfume aging device for accelerating perfume aging.

The ultrasonic perfume aging device comprises an ultrasonic oscillator with ultrasonic wave dispersion capabilities and a container for storing a perfume solution. The container is provided with a liquid inlet and a liquid outlet.

Preferably, a stirring device is included.

Preferably, the ultrasonic device comprises a power supply, a transducer, and a vibrating rod.

Preferably, the stirring device comprises a motor, a stirring rod, and stirring blades.

Preferably, the container for storing the perfume solution is provided with a liquid circulation device.

This ultrasonic perfume aging device has the beneficial effect of introducing perfume into a container and emitting ultrasonic waves toward the perfume solution within the container. Ultrasonic waves exert mechanical, cavitation, and thermal effects, accelerating the reaction by increasing the speed of large molecules in the perfume mixture, such as ethanol and fragrance molecules. Simultaneously, tiny bubbles in the mixture vibrate under the influence of ultrasound. When the sound pressure reaches a certain level, the bubbles expand due to directional diffusion, forming a resonant cavity that suddenly closes, generating the ultrasonic cavitation effect. As these bubbles close, they generate pressures of several thousand atmospheres around them, creating micro-shock waves. This can rupture the tiny plant cell walls and even the entire organism within the fragrance, thereby facilitating the dissolution of the fragrance's active ingredients. The transducer in ultrasonic equipment is primarily regulated by a thyristor (SCR) to control the conduction angle of the voltage, enabling stepless power regulation. A liquid circulation device can be installed in the container to circulate the fragrance solution, ensuring optimal aging.
